FANSHAWE'S DUNSEITH FINISHES THIRD AT GOLF PROVINCIALS

DOURO-DUMMER, Ont. - The Fanshawe men's golf team competed in the OCAA provincial golf championships this week and came up with some great results.

Leading the way for Fanshawe was Spencer Dunseith, who shot an impressive 220 in his three rounds combined (74-71-75), good for a tie for third place individually. The bronze medal is only the third individual medal in the Fanshawe golf program's history and the first since 2009 when Taylor Booth won the silver medal. Dunseith will head to the CCAA Golf National Championships in Champlain, Que. to compete against some of the best college players in Canada.

The men's team finished fifth overall as a team in the provincial tournament. Along with Dunseith, the team was made up of Corey Nathan (231), Kenny Roy (232), Trevor Howard (240) and Michael Nutt (246).

Fanshawe was a combined plus-56 over par for the tournament, just nine strokes back of third place.
