GEORGIAN GOLF SEASON WRAPS UP AT NATIONALS

LORETTEVILLE, Que. - The Georgian Grizzlies golf season wrapped up on Friday at the 2014 PING CCAA Golf National Championship in Loretteville, Que.

Both the Grizzlies men's and women's teams had consistent efforts through the first two rounds of the tournament, but were unable to get into the top five with the men's team finishing in eighth place and the women finishing in sixth.

The third and final round was cancelled due to inclement weather that made the course unplayable on Friday.

Tyler Cameron (Sturgeon Falls, Ont.) was the top placing Grizzlies male golfer who finished tied for 17th place at four-over. The other men's finishes saw Dan Knapp (Burlington, Ont.) tied for 30th, Jeff Beedham (Georgetown, Ont.) tied for 39th, Matt Lemay (Waterloo, Ont.) tied for 43rd and Blake Ulrich (Peterborough, Ont.) tied for 57th.

On the women's side Chloe Wells (Mississauga, Ont.) finished in 15th, Cory Pond (Simcoe, Ont.) was 18th and Danielle Forhan (Barrie, Ont.) was 23rd.
