MOHAWK COMPLETES ROUND 2 AT PROVINCIALS

WELLAND, Ont. - Mohawk's Brendan Gibson remains tied for 20th place after two rounds of the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association Golf Championships at Hunters Pointe Golf Club in Welland, Ont.

Gibson carded a four-over par 74 today and he has a 36-hole total of 149, nine over par.

Josiah Dixon of Niagara shot 71, leaving him at even par and two strokes ahead of Assaad Moussaoui of St. Lawrence Kingston, who had the best round of the day - a three under par 67.

Emillie Tyndall of Georgian fired a three-over par 73 for a two-day total of 149, two strokes better than first round leader Lorelle Weavers of Niagara, who was plus-six for her round.

Georgian leads the women's team standings.

There is no Mohawk golfer in the women's section.

The final round of the 54-hole event is scheduled for Wednesday.
