ST. CLAIR ENDS GOLF PROVINCIALS AS MEN'S D-II SILVER MEDALISTS

INNISFIL, Ont. - The St. Clair College golf teams wrapped up play at the OCAA championships on Wednesday. The championships were hosted by Georgian College at National Pines Club in Barrie, Ont. The championships consisted of three rounds of play from Monday to Wednesday.

The women's team placed fourth with a three-day total of 522. The Saints made a run at the bronze medal but struggled on the day and ended up seven strokes back. St. Clair was led by Victoria Ducharme who ended up in sixth place individually with a score of 255. Laura Martin was the other St. Clair player and had a total of 267 over the three days. For the women, the top two scores count each day.

The men's team came away with the Division II silver medals with a three-day total of 996, seven strokes out of gold. The men were led by Darren Alexander with a score of 260 over the three days. Other St. Clair team members were Tyler Leblanc, Devon Smith, Chris Ryan and Patrick Thompson. For the men the best four scores count each day.
