The OCAA Men’s Indoor Soccer
Championships are set to kick off this weekend from March
23-24. The eight-team Championship is hosted by Conestoga College
(Kitchener) and all games are scheduled to take place at the
Ontario Soccer Centre.
The top two teams from each region will compete for the title. This
year’s regional champions are the Seneca Sting (North York),
Niagara Knights (Welland), Humber Hawks (Etobicoke) and Trent
Excalibur (Peterborough).
The five-time defending champion Humber Hawks, look strong to
defend bring home the trophy once again after winning the Central
West region posting a 3-0-1 mark. Also look for the Knights to make
a solid run after shutting out their competition with a 3-0 record
in the West region, not allowing a single goal in the net.
Looking to challenge the Regional champs will be the second place
teams from each region including the St. Lawrence Vikings
(Kingston), Sheridan Bruins (Oakville), Conestoga Condors
(Kitchener) and George Brown Huskies (Toronto).
