Humber's women's indoor soccer team added another banner and
trophy to the case on Friday as they defeated the defending
champions from Fanshawe in the championship game. The Hawks went
into the semi finals after posting a 2-0-1 record in pool play on
Thursday. The Hawks advanced to the finals after a tight shootout
win over Conestoga in the Semi-final. In the other Semi-final,
Fanshawe got past Durham in a shootout. In the finals, Humber
controlled the play for much of the game leading to 2-0 win over
the Falcons for the Gold. Keyla Moreno and Nilda Correia scored for
Humber in the final, while Rose Mary Ormeno posted the shutout.
Conestoga defeated Durham 2-0 in the Bronze final to return home
with a medal.
