ANCASTER, Ont. - The Ontario Colleges Athletic Association
(OCAA) Men's and Women's Indoor Soccer Championships take place
Friday and Saturday at Redeemer University College in Ancaster,
Ont.
Humber College is the three-time defending women's champion. The
Hawks went undefeated at regionals with a perfect 3-0-0 mark,
outscoring the opposition 12-0. Sheridan College is the defending
men's champion. The Bruins also went undefeated at regionals with a
3-0-0 record, outscoring their opponents 12-3.
The top two teams from each of the four OCAA regionals advance to
Friday's championship round robin. The men's Pool A consists of
Sheridan, Humber, host Redeemer and Seneca College while Pool B
includes Centennial College, Conestoga College, Georgian College
and St. Clair College. The women's Pool A is comprised of Humber,
Fanshawe College, St. Clair and Sheridan while Centennial,
Conestoga, Georgian and Seneca make up Pool B.
Each team will face the other three teams in its pool in a round
robin format on Friday. The top two teams of each pool advance to
Saturday's semi-finals, followed by bronze and gold medal
matches.
