SIX TEAMS UNDEFEATED AFTER DAY 1 OF OCAA INDOOR SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIPS

ANCASTER, Ont. - It was a busy day at Redeemer University College on Thursday as a total of 20 games were played at the 2017 OCAA Indoor Soccer Championships presented by belairdirect at the Redeemer Soccer Complex.

Ten women's matches and 10 men's matches highlighted Day 1 of the three-day championship that saw six teams make it through the first half of round robin play undefeated.

On the women's side, the St. Clair Saints, Fanshawe Falcons, and Humber Hawks all went 2-0 and see themselves in the driver's seat heading into Day 2.

The Fanshawe Falcons, George Brown Huskies, and Humber Hawks remained perfect on the men's side with 2-0 records as well.

The teams will open up Day 2 of the championship Friday morning as the action will see the second half of the round robin matches completed with each team playing two more games. With 20 more games to play on Friday, anything can happen as four men's and four women's teams look to be the ones to advance to Saturday's semi-final matches.
