PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - On March 26, Fleming College will proudly host the 24th annual Ontario Colleges Athletic Association men’s and women’s basketball all-star day.

The event will bring together the elite collegiate basketball players from across the province for a weekend of camaraderie and competition. Over 80 athletes will be representing 21 Ontario colleges at this event, taking place at the Peterborough Sport & Wellness Centre in Peterborough, Ont.

The day gears up with the action-packed three-point shooting contests, and then the all-star games. The women’s West Division team takes on the East team in a challenge game scheduled for 4 p.m., followed by the men’s all-star challenge game at 6 p.m. Player of the game awards will be sponsored by Big Kahuna. Earlier festivities in the day will include an all-star luncheon, and OCAA coach’s meetings.

Fleming’s 2011 basketball all-star day will host a number of notable athletes, including Durham’s Eric Smith, OCAA player of the year. On the women’s side, Algonquin’s Jenny Allen will be participating, also named OCAA and CCAA all-star.
