TORONTO - After four years at the helm of the Seneca Sting
Varsity Men's Basketball program at Seneca College, head coach
Wayne Dawkins is moving on for personal
reasons.
Under the watchful eye of Dawkins, the Sting player development
program evolved and progressed in a variety of key areas. On the
court, Seneca student-athletes demonstrated significant improvement
under Coach Dawkins earning post-season berths in two of four
seasons. In 2009-2010, Dawkins was named Ontario Colleges Athletic
Association (OCAA) Coach of the Year, in his second season with the
Sting, after leading Seneca to an 18-2 record and qualifying for
the OCAA Championship.
Possessing an undeniable passion for basketball, Coach Dawkins has
left an indelible impact on the Seneca community and the students
and staff who have had the opportunity to work with him these past
few years.

maintain its partnership with Dawkins and his very successful PHASE
1 basketball development program and its events.
