ST. CLAIR 83, SAULT 79 (FINAL)

St. Clair (2-10) defeated Sault (1-12) by a score of 83-79.

St. Clair earned their second win of the season against the same opponent but certainly had to endure some tight moments as Sault threatened to take a double digit lead into half-time. St. Clair used an 11-1 run to close the half up 35-32.
 
Foul trouble plagued Sault all night and in the second half things got away from them as 4 players fouled out of the contest.  Still with the game in the balance St. Clair had to hit free throws to seal the victory.
 
St. Clair was led by Alex Temesy (Amherstburg/General Amherst) who had his finest game of the season with 22 points adding 8 rebounds.  Eli Hesley (Windsor/Riverside) had 17 points including 9 of 11 shooting from the free-throw line but also added 9 rebounds. Jamaal Thompson (Windsor/Holy Names) who had the game winning shot the last time these two teams met scored 19 points adding 6 rebounds. Stephan Gray (Milton) chipped in with 14 points to go with 4 assists.
 
Terell Carr had a game high 29 points to lead all scorers in the loss for Sault.
 
The St. Clair Men's team finishes the weekend home stand against Algoma University College (Sault Ste. Marie) on Sunday at 3 p.m.
