MOHAWK WINS GEORGE BROWN HOOP TOURNEY

TORONTO - For the second straight year, Mohawk has won the George Brown Huskies Men's Basketball Classic in Toronto.

The Mountaineers got 13 points and 16 rebounds from Jeff Hunt, as they defeated La Cité Coyotes of Ottawa 81-76 in the championship game.

Xzennis Brereton had 14 points and six rebounds. Lamar Barr had 14 points and nine rebounds and Kareem Collins also had nine boards to go with 10 points.

Mohawk's Kojo Afari was named tournament MVP and his teammate Patrick Iavarone made the all-star team.

The Mountaineers are now 17-0 versus Canadian College opposition this season and that includes four victories over national Top 10 teams.
