CROWDIS STEPS DOWN AS SENECA STING MEN'S BASKETBALL HEAD COACH

TORONTO - After three seasons at the helm of the Seneca Sting men's basketball team, head coach Bill Crowdis is stepping down.

Under Crowdis' leadership, the Sting reached the OCAA conference championship in each of his three seasons, including a trip to the bronze medal game and OCAA East Division championship in 2012-13.

During his three years, Crowdis' coached several players to provincial recognition including 2012-13 OCAA player of the year Felix Adjei.

When speaking about his time in the red and black, Crowdis found his time rewarding, but also looks forward to his next challenge.

"The past three seasons at Seneca College have been very fulfilling and I wish nothing but continued success for the men's basketball program. I look forward to focusing more time on initiatives through Clarington Basketball to help further the growth of the game within our community."

Crowdis leaves the Sting after compiling a 40-20 record.

Seneca College Department of Sport and Recreation wishes Bill the best of success as he continues to build the game's next generation of players at the grassroots level.

A posting for the part-time position of men's basketball head coach will be distributed in the coming days and the recruitment process will begin immediately.
