ST. CLAIR 82, FANSHAWE 75

WINDSOR, Ont. - The St. Clair men's basketball team finished off the first half of their season with an 82-75 comeback win over Fanshawe College (London, Ont.) at the SportsPlex Wednesday night.

The Saints trailed 32-27 at halftime but gained momentum in the third quarter and were only down 54-52 heading to the fourth quarter.

After falling behind again by as much as 11 points in the fourth quarter St. Clair was able to sustain a run to close out the game with timely shooting and pressure defence. The Saints outscored Fanshawe 37-17 in points off the bench.

Rookie guard Trevon Mollison (Brampton, Ont.) scored a game-high 25 points to lead the Saints who was one of four players in double figures. Point guard Charles Baskin (Detroit, Mich.) scored 14 points with Patrick Donnelly (Oakville, Ont.) scoring 12 while adding six rebounds and five assists from the forward position. Lance Drummonds (Hamilton, Ont.) chipped in with 11 points for St. Clair.

Fanshawe's Connor Therrien (London, Ont.) scored 21 points in the loss.
