ST. CLAIR 90, HUMBER 87 (OT)

WINDSOR, Ont. - The St. Clair men's basketball team outlasted Humber College (Etobicoke, Ont.) in an overtime thriller with a 90-87 victory at the SportsPlex Sunday afternoon.

The Saints were comfortably ahead 42-28 at half-time but Humber cut the lead to just 57-56 after a 28-15 tear in the third quarter. Humber actually held a 72-61 lead late in the fourth quarter but the Saints responded to take the lead back with chances to ice the game at the free throw line.

Humber forced overtime and had its own chance to win in regulation. In overtime St. Clair took the first lead but Humber gained the advantage back before some timely rebounding and steals allowed the Saints to hit enough free throws down the stretch.

Rookie guard Trevon Mollison (Brampton, Ont.) led all scorers with 27 points adding five rebounds and provided the lift for St. Clair. Charles Baskin (Detroit, Mich.) scored 19 points to go with four assists while post Patrick Donnelly (Oakville, Ont.) had 15 points and five rebounds for St. Clair.  Malique Calloo (Windsor, Ont./Catholic Central) and Jermaine Lynch (Windsor, Ont./JL Forster) both reached double figures with 13 and 11 points, respectively, for the Saints.

Humber's Vule Grujic (Loznica, Serbia) scored 24 points in a losing cause.
