LAMBTON 82, ST. CLAIR 78

WINDSOR, Ont. - The St. Clair men's basketball team fell 82-78 to Lambton College (Sarnia, Ont.) Friday night at the SportsPlex.

St. Clair was once again behind the eight ball early trailing 22-12 after the opening quarter and were down 14 points in the second quarter but used a 10-2 run to finish the half leaving them only down 45-39 at the break.

Lambton seemed to gain control in the third quarter extending their lead but St. Clair used a 14-5 run to start the fourth quarter to go up 69-68 with about five minutes to play.

The teams traded the lead for a few possessions until some key turnovers and fouls by the Saints allowed Lambton to seize the game in the final minute.

Point guard Charles Baskin (Detroit, Mich.) scored a game-high 28 points to lead St. Clair in the game. Lance Drummonds (Hamilton, Ont.) also reached double figures scoring 14 points to go with six rebounds for the Saints.

Lambton's Mike Lucier (Forest, Ont.) scored 23 points in the win adding 12 rebounds.
