HAMILTON, Ont. - The Mohawk men completed their OCAA regular basketball season with a 14-4 record. The Mountaineers downed Redeemer 81-74 at Mohawk on Saturday.

Jeff Hunt was brilliant in his final regular season home game with 17 points and 19 rebounds. OJ Watson compiled 15 points and 10 rebounds, Kojo Afari had 10 points and 10 rebounds and Lamar Barr contributed 11 points and seven boards.

Mohawk head coach Brian Jonker said he was proud of the way his team competed against a good Royals team who had everything to play for.

The Mountaineers finished second in the West Division to Humber, which gets a bye to the OCAA championship. Mohawk will play a crossover qualifying game against either Georgian or Seneca next Saturday.
