MOHAWK 93, ST. CLAIR 80

WINDSOR, Ont. - The St. Clair men's basketball team dropped their record to 4-2 after falling 93-80 to Mohawk College (Hamilton, Ont.) Friday night at the SportsPlex.

Mohawk were hot in the opening quarter making six long balls while shooting 63 per cent from the field. Behind 32-19 after the opening frame, St. Clair played even with Mohawk in the second quarter but still trailed 51-35 at halftime. Mohawk cooled only slightly in the second half but not enough for the Saints to really make the game interesting.

Andrés Bravo (Panama City, Panama) showed tremendous hustle leading St. Clair with 18 points and was just shy of a double-double with eight rebounds. Point guard Charles Baskin (Detroit, Mich.) scored 17 points with fellow backcourt mate Will Lara-Caston (Windsor, Ont./JL Forster) scoring 12 points while adding five rebounds and five assists.

Nik Veigli (Essex, Ont./Essex District) made good on three triples to score 11 points and Jermaine Lynch (Windsor, Ont./JL Forster) also chipped in with 10 points.

Mohawk's Kareem Collins (Hamilton, Ont.) scored a game-high 20 points in the win and made six triples in the contest.
