St. Clair College Men’s Basketball Host Canadore Saturday

Windsor, ON – The St. Clair College Men's Basketball team continues its OCAA West Division regular season schedule Saturday afternoon when they host Canadore College (North Bay) for the first time since 2013.  Canadore College does not support a Women's program so it will be a rare single game at the SportsPlex with tip time set for 2:00pm.

Canadore has been traditionally an East Division team but with a recent shuffle in the OCAA alignment find themselves a part of the West.  In fact, the last time the two teams met in regular season play, the St. Clair College SportsPlex was under construction and the game was played at the Main campus Classic Gym.  The St. Clair Men (11-4, West 4th Place) is ranked 3rd in Ontario but are looking to bounce back against winless Canadore (0-15, West 11thPlace) following their loss to Lambton Wednesday night.

St. Clair continues to be led by 4th year 6'2" guard David Gomez Jr. (Pontiac, MI) who remains 4th in provincial scoring at 22.4 points per game to go with 3.5 assists.  6'3" guard Jesiah Deerr (Whitby, ON) is still also averaging double figures at 12.3 per game for the Saints.  6'5" St. Clair swing player Jalen Harmon (Ypsilanti, MI) is filling the stat line with 10.5 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.3 assists points per game.  Glynn Willis- Paris (Detroit, MI/Kennedy Collegiate) is 4th in OCAA shot blocking at 1.4 per game adding 8.8 points and 7.3 rebounds per game for the Saints.

The Canadore Men are led by 6'2" guard Raivone Young (Toronto, ON) who tops his team in games played, minutes played while averaging 14.5 points per game.
