DURHAM MEN'S SOCCER LOADING UP WITH AN IMPRESSIVE RECRUITING CLASS

OSHAWA, Ont. - Durham College men's soccer head coach Dave Ashfield is proud to announce four new recruits that will be joining the Lords for the 2014-15 season.

Committing to Durham College next season will be midfielders Isiah Passley (Pickering, Ont.) and Colin Reilly (Whitby, Ont.), goalkeeper Jonathan Codrington (Courtice, Ont.) and defender Ivan Nimtsiv (Courtice, Ont.).

"We are very happy with the group of recruits who have committed to play for us this upcoming season," said Ashfield. "Collectively this group will enhance our line-up and mix well with the group of veterans returning to the team."

Jonathan Codrington
Position: Goalkeeper
Hometown: Courtice, Ont.
Club Team: Ajax

Jonathan Codrington, a goalkeeper from Courtice, Ont., joins the Lords with a number of accomplishments under his belt. Playing for Ajax in the Central Soccer League, he won the highest honour this past season as he was named the Durham soccer player of the year. As team captain and the starting goalkeeper, he led his team to an undefeated record in the CSL, as Ajax won the league title and the Tier II Ontario Cup championship.

In high school with Holy Trinity, Codrington set a school record with 13 consecutive shutouts. His team won the LOSSA championship in 2012 and 2013, and he went on to be named the MVP in 2013. Holy Trinity also went on to be 2012 Tiger Bowl champions.

Ivan Nimtsiv
Position: Defender
Hometown: Courtice, Ont.
Club Team: Ajax

Ivan Nimtsiv, an aggressive, hardworking centre defenceman from Courtice, Ont., joins the Lords after a successful career in high school and at his club. Playing for Ajax in the Central Soccer League, his team won the league title in back-to-back seasons (2009 and 2010) as well the Ontario Cup championship in 2009. In 2011, his team travelled to Ohio where they won the prestigious Continental Cup as well as reaching the finals of the Ontario Cup.

In high school at Holy Trinity, Nimtsiv and his team won the LOSSA championship in 2012 and 2013. In 2013, he scored two goals for his team as they went 6-0 during the season. In 2012, Holy Trinity also won the Tiger Bowl.

Isiah Passley
Position: Midfielder/Forward
Hometown: Pickering, Ont.
Club Team: Ajax

Isiah Passley, a midfielder and forward from Pickering, Ont., joins the Lords with 14 years of soccer experience behind him. Playing for Ajax in the Central Soccer League, Passley led his team to back-to-back league titles as well as a Tier II Ontario Cup championship where he was the team's co-captain. Prior to that, Passley spent six years with the Ajax Thunder of the OYSL where the team won the Ontario Cup Tier I championship. His squad also held other titles including the triple crown, Milan Cup and Robbie Cup.

Colin Reilly
Position: Midfielder
Hometown: Whitby, Ont.
Club Team: Whitby

Colin Reilly, a midfielder from Whitby, Ont., joins the Lords with many years of soccer experience playing in his hometown. This past season, he was a member of the Whitby team that captured the Central Soccer League Cup. This was the second time in his career his team won the cup, repeating their performance from the 2011 season. That year, his team also went on to win the Ontario Cup as well as the Schwan's USA Cup.

The Lords' training camp will open on August 19 at Vaso's Field.
