2014 CCAA MEN'S SOCCER ALL-CANADIANS

OAKVILLE, Ont. - The Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association is proud to announce the 2014 CCAA Men's Soccer All-Canadians.

The student-athletes, who are selected by their conference based on performance and contribution to the sport and their team, were honoured at a banquet during the 2014 CCAA Men's Soccer National Championship at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ont.

Stephane Emard, Algonquin College

Emard led the Thunder to a perfect 7-0 record and the No. 1 ranking in the CCAA. As co-captain, the midfielder was a work horse for the Thunder, which allowed only two goals all season. Emard assisted on eight of his team's 19 goals. He is a determined leaders who demands the best from his teammates.

David Velastegui, Sheridan College

Velastegui led the OCAA with a career-high nine goals. He scored or set up 25 of the league-high 39 goals scored by Sheridan during the regular season. Velastegui, the Bruins captain the last three seasons, leads by example on the field and is a vocal leader in the locker room and on the pitch.
