DURHAM 1, ST. LAWRENCE (K) 0

KINGSTON, Ont. – The Durham College men's soccer team picked up important points over the weekend, with Sunday's three points against St. Lawrence making a difference in the standings as the regular season begins to wind down.

Heading into the match the Lords were a point back of St. Lawrence for third in the OCAA east division. Their 1-0 victory puts them two points ahead with four games remaining before the post-season.

Colin Reilly (Whitby, Ont.) scored Durham's only goal of the match in the 25th minute on a penalty kick.

Jonathan Codrington (Courtice, Ont.) earned the clean sheet in the match in goal.

Earlier in the weekend, Durham was in Ottawa during their road trip to face the first-place Algonquin Thunder. The Lords came out of the match with a point as the teams played to a 1-1 draw.

Trevor Stephens (Aurora, Ont.) earned the tie in goal for Durham.

Durham now returns home on Friday night to face the St. Lawrence Vikings, a game with huge implications as the two teams prepare for the playoffs. Kick-off for the match is 8 p.m. at Vaso's Field.
