ST. CLAIR 2, REDEEMER 0

WINDSOR, Ont. - The St. Clair College men's soccer team continued their strong play by defeating the Redeemer University Royals 2-0 on Saturday afternoon at the Main Campus Field on a very cold and windy day.

Jordan Lidia got the Saints on the board with a nice goal in the 33rd minute. St. Clair had a few more great chances in the rest of the half but failed to capitalize and went into the half up 1-0. Lidia scored his OCAA league-leading 13th goal in nine games to put the Saints up 2-0 just two minutes into the second half. Justin Danelon was solid in goal making some tough saves late to earn the shutout and win.

The Saints are now 6-2-1 on the season and are locked into second place in the OCAA West Division. St. Clair will host a crossover playoff match on Saturday, Oct. 24 against the fourth place team from the East Division. St. Clair is currently ranked fourth in Ontario.

The Saints will host the first place Fanshawe Falcons on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. at the Main Campus Field. The Falcons are ranked second in Ontario and seventh in Canada. Fanshawe defeated St. Clair by a score of 3-2 in London, Ont., on Oct. 7.
