MOHAWK 3, CONESTOGA 0

ANCASTER, Ont. - Mohawk posted two victories over Conestoga in OCAA women's soccer on Thursday at Redeemer.

The Mountaineers women scored a 2-1 victory over Conestoga. Mohawk took the lead early, as Gabrielle Krebs from Hamilton Brebeuf scored in the third minute.

The Condors tied it up in the 58th minute on a goal from Megan Longpre. Rachelle DeJong, the Ancaster, Ont., native from Guido de Bres, scored the winner in the 67th minute.

Mohawk's record is now 1-2 and it'll face the Lambton Lions from Sarnia, Ont., on Saturday at 5 p.m. at the Redeemer University College outdoor field.

The Mohawk men blanked Conestoga 3-0. The game was scoreless for most of the first half until fourth-year veteran Patryk Korbut from Barrie, Ont., knocked in a pair of goals in the 42nd and the 64th minutes.

Frank Brown from Brampton, Ont., scored the third goal for Mohawk in the 68th minute.

The Mountaineers record is now 1-1-1 and they'll play the Lambton Lions from Sarnia, Ont., on Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Redeemer University College outdoor field.
