ANCASTER, Ont. - The Mohawk men's soccer team upped its record to 2-1, downing Fanshawe 3-1 in Ontario Colleges Athletic Association action at Redeemer University College.

In the 15th minute Lucas Raposo (St. Thomas More) found Andre Lewin (Brampton St. Roch) in close and Lewin tapped in the first goal. Thirteen minutes later, Semir Ibrahimi (Orchard Park) doubled the count for the Mountaineers.

Alberto Barquin got one back for the Falcons in what was turning into a feisty contest. But in the 72nd minute Fanshawe was reduced to 10 men when a red card was issued in the Falcons' 18 yard area. Raposo made good from the penalty spot to close out the scoring.

Mohawk upped its record to 2-0 while Fanshawe dropped to 2-1.
