EVELEIGH NAMED HEAD COACH OF UTM MEN'S SOCCER

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - The University of Toronto Mississauga is pleased to announce the hiring of Chris Eveleigh as the new head coach for the UTM Eagles men's soccer program.

Eveleigh brings a wealth of coaching experience to the UTM Eagles program, both at the collegiate and club levels.

"We are excited to welcome Chris as the new coach for our men's soccer team," said Dave Clancy, Director, Athletics & Recreation. "He will be a great leader for our young student-athletes and will be an instrumental piece to growing our varsity program at UTM."

No stranger to the OCAA, Eveleigh was the former head coach for both the varsity men's and women's coccer teams at St. Lawrence College, where he was named the 2016 OCAA East Division Coach of the Year.

Eveleigh has multiple coaching certifications in soccer, including a UEFA A license prep, a UEFA B license and bachelor's in coaching and fitness. He is the current Technical Director for the Toronto High Park Football Club, and the former Technical Director for the Kingston Clippers Soccer Club.

"I'm excited to be joining the UTM family," said Eveleigh. "Looking forward to a great season of working with these talented student-athletes and continuing to build a solid program."

The UTM men's soccer team kicks off their season on Sept. 12, and are gearing up for their pre-season training in August.
