BRAMWELL NAMED CCAA MEN'S VOLLEYBALL PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Terrel Bramwell of the Humber Hawks is the 2011 CCAA Men's Volleyball Player of the Year.

The third-year outside hitter has been described as "the most explosive player in the history of the OCAA." He's first in the CCAA individual stats board, averaging 5.67 kills per set and far surpassing his closest competitors.

"When's he's playing his best, there's just no stopping him," confirms Ray Sarkis, CCAA men's volleyball national convenor.

Bramwell is a two-time CCAA All-Canadian and OCAA Player of the Year, and was named MVP at three 2011-2012 season tournaments, His performance with the Humber Hawks men's volleyball team is credited with increasing spectatorship by over 200 percent.

The Humber Hawks have qualified as first seed at the 2012 CCAA Men's Volleyball National Championship, taking place March 8-10 at Columbia Bible College in Abbotsford, B.C.

The other nominees for 2012 CCAA Men's Volleyball Player of the Year were Justin Brooks of the UKC Blue Devils, Colton deMan of the Mount Royal Cougars, Olivier Jannini of the Titans de Liomoilou, and Milo Warren of the VIU Mariners.

Bramwell received the award Wednesday, March 7 during the CCAA Championship Awards Banquet at the 2012 CCAA Men's Volleyball National Championship in Abbotsford, B.C. CCAA Player of the Year recipients receive a customized ring provided by Jostens Canada, the Official Ring Supplier of the CCAA Championship Awards Banquet.
