MOHAWK SWEPT IN CCAA MEN'S VOLLEYBALL SEMI-FINAL

MOOSE JAW, Sask. - The Mohawk Mountaineers lost 3-0 to host Briercrest Clippers in the semi-finals of the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association Men's Volleyball National Championship in Moose Jaw, Sask., on Friday night.

The scores were 25-22, 25-14, 25-12 for the Clippers, who will meet top seeded Red Deer in the gold medal match Saturday night.

Eric Danecke was Mohawk's player of the match.

The Mountaineers will now concentrate on the bronze medal. They play fellow OCAA rival Humber in a bronze semi-final match Saturday at 1 p.m. ET. The other bronze semi will pit Douglas College  against Columbia Bible College. The winners of those two games will then meet for the bronze medal at 7 p.m. ET.
