TORONTO - With his 17th point in a 3-1 (21-25, 25-7, 25-11,
25-20) victory over the Conestoga Condors, Humber College's
Terrel Bramwell (Mississauga, Ont.) became the new
all-time men's volleyball points leader in the Ontario Colleges
Athletic Association (OCAA).
Bramwell surpassed Keith Marier's record of
1,069, set in four seasons between 2010-11 and 2013-14 at both
Algonquin College and Collège La Cité. With his 22
points on 20 kills and two service aces against Conestoga, Bramwell
now has 1,075 points for his career. He is in his fifth season with
the Humber Hawks.
Bramwell also moved closer to Marier's all-time kills record of
910. He now has 896 career kills, and could set a new record on
Sunday at Niagara College.
The veteran left side began the 2014-15 season fifth in all-time
points with 902, and third with 748 kills. Entering Thursday's
game, Bramwell was averaging 6.05 points per set for his
career.
Bramwell is no stranger to OCAA milestones, as he holds single
match records for kills and points with 36 and 40, respectively.
Bramwell reached the 40-point plateau twice.
