OSHAWA, Ont. - With Saturday's win over La Cité, the Durham College men's volleyball team moved a game closer to finishing first atop the OCAA east region.

The No. 7-ranked Lords, who won the match 3-0 (25-12, 25-23, 25-15) over the Coyotes, continue to be the lone undefeated team in the OCAA with an 11-0 record.

With seven matches remaining in the regular season Durham College is eight points ahead of the Fleming Knights who are 7-3.

Petrus Kuypers (Haydon, Ont.) had nine kills in the Lords win, while Erik Janssen (Hampton, Ont.) and Nick Coleman (Ingersoll, Ont.) added seven and six respectively. Jonathan Jealouse (Oshawa, Ont.) picked up his first kill of the season for Durham in the match.

Coleman led the team in blocks with three.

Zachary Lafontaine's 11 kills and four digs led their respective categories for La Cité. Michel Leblanc added six kills and three digs.

Durham's next game is Jan. 14 on the road against Loyalist, with their next home game on Jan. 28 versus Georgian.
