SHERIDAN 3, ST. CLAIR 0

WINDSOR, Ont. - The St. Clair College men's volleyball team dropped their OCAA regular season home opener to the Sheridan Bruins by a score of 3-0 on Halloween night at the Sportsplex.

Game scores for Sheridan were 25-20, 25-23 and 25-21. The Saints were in all three sets right up until the end by a few key errors and some great play by Sheridan wouldn't allow St. Clair to put any of the sets away. Michael Knight led the way for the Saints with 14 kills, one service ace and eight digs.

With the loss St. Clair fell to 0-3 on the season while Sheridan improved to 1-2. It has been a slow start for the Saints, the defending OCAA silver medalists, but it was expected after losing their entire starting seven players from last year. This season's St. Clair roster currently features 10 rookies and three second year players.

The Saints are next in action when they travel to Hamilton, Ont., next Saturday to take on the Mohawk Mountaineers.
