OSHAWA, Ont. - Georgian Grizzlies men's volleyball head coach Reid Saxby was named as the OCAA East Division's Coach of the Year on Saturday as part of the OCAA Volleyball All-Star Games presented by belairdirect and hosted by Durham College in Oshawa, Ont.

Saxby guided the Grizzlies to a perfect 18-0 regular season, setting a school record for wins in one year. Georgian made their first appearance in the OCAA provincial championship since 2014 and finished with a fourth-place finish.

In his two seasons at the helm of the Grizzlies, Saxby has compiled a regular season record of 34-6 which is tied for second in the entire OCAA with a win percentage of .850 during that span.

With a large group of the core returning, Georgian is expecting to once again be a contender for an OCAA medal next season.
