ST. CLAIR ANNOUNCES NEW WOMEN'S BASKETBALL COACH

WINDSOR, Ont. - The St. Clair College Athletic Department is pleased to announce Ken Ambrose the new Women’s Basketball Head Coach. Ambrose fills the vacancy left after Jimmy Parsons resigned following the season for personal reasons. He was introduced at a Press Conference in front of media, staff and students earlier today at the Main campus of St. Clair and vowed that although he had big shoes to fill he is ready for the challenge.

Ambrose who is a retired teacher comes to the Saints with more than 40 years of basketball coaching experience at the elementary, high school, club, regional and provincial level with ties to both the Windsor area and the other end of Essex County in Leamington. He was both the founder and President of the Riverside Falcon Basketball Association and the Leamington Cougars Basketball Association. Ambrose has served with the Ontario Basketball Association on the Ranking and Seeding Committee and coached at the MDP level with the St. Clair Region team also working with that team at the 2010 Ontario Summer Games in Sudbury.

After thanking Jimmy Parsons for his six years of service to the program Athletic Coordinator Ted Beale stated, “It takes a special kind of person to meet this challenge and we believe that we have found just that in Coach Ambrose.
