ETOBICOKE, Ont. – The Humber College Athletic Department
is proud to announce that they will be hosting the belairdirect
2013 OCAA Women's Basketball Championship from February 28-March
2.
This three day event will showcase the best collegiate women's
basketball players from across the province. It is set to begin on
Thursday, February 28 and will continue through to Saturday, March
2, with the medal games starting at 4 p.m. The championship venue
is the Humber Athletic Centre in Etobicoke.
"Our organizing committee has a great deal of experience in
hosting provincial events, and are excited with the challenge of
exceeding the standards we have set in hosting," noted Doug
Fox, Tournament Chair. "We take pride in our ability to
organize premier events and continuously raise the bar".
Representation for the championships will feature eight
institutions from across Ontario. As the host, Humber College is
the first confirmed participant.
In preparation for the belairdirect OCAA Women's Basketball
Championship, Humber Athletics has launched a new website. The
website will serve as a hub for the event and include complete
coverage. Features will include: live streaming of games, updated
game-by-game results, comprehensive picture galleries and video
