HUMBER 63, FANSHAWE 51

ETOBICOKE, Ont. - The Fanshawe Falcons (2-2) lost the only game they played last week to the undefeated Humber Hawks (5-0).

Humber came into the game ranked No. 9 in Canada. Fanshawe falls to seventh in the OCAA West Division but has played the least amount of games of any team.

The Falcons looked early to contain the Hawks star point guard Cassandra Nofuente. Fanshawe's Anique Daley played great defence on Nofuente all game and the Falcons found themselves only down five points at the half.

Humber opened up a double-digit lead early in the third quarter and didn't look back as Fanshawe lost the game by a final score of 63-51.

Fanshawe's Larissa McBean led all Falcons with 15 points and nine rebounds. Humber's Nofuente finished the game with 10 steals, the most in one game by any individual in the OCAA this year.

Fanshawe stays on the road this week for games against the Sheridan Bruins and the Redeemer Royals. Both opponents sit one win ahead of the Falcons in the OCAA West Division standings.
