SHERIDAN 84, REDEEMER 70

ANCASTER, Ont. - It wasn't the result they were looking for heading into the Christmas break, but the injury plagued Royals put in a tough effort against the Sheridan Bruins on Friday night. The short bench cost the Royals down the stretch but the team still managed to fight till the final whistle.

Redeemer dropped the game 84-70 to the strong side from Sheridan. Lindsay Moffatt's 26 points led all scorers on a night where the bounces did not seem to go Redeemer's way. Arica Price added 20 points for Redeemer while Rebekah Couperus chipped in for 13.

Redeemer led the game in the second quarter with the score 33-30 but a 10-0 run put the Bruins up for good. Redeemer went into the half trailing by only five but Sheridan started to pull away in the third quarter backed by a 13-5 run.

Redeemer enters the break with a record of 3-6. Sheridan improves their record to 5-3.
