ST. CLAIR 66, LAMBTON 62

SARNIA, Ont. - The St. Clair women's basketball team jumped out to a strong halftime lead but had to hold on for a 66-62 win over Lambton College Saturday afternoon in Sarnia.

Leading 41-25 at the intermission the Saints were outscored 37-25 in the second half but were still able escape with a four-point victory. Lambton was able to make close the gap on the strength of their three-point shooting and free throw percentage.

Saints forward Kendyl Rizea (Windsor, Ont./Vincent Massey) led her team with 19 points and eight rebounds. Jaide Lyons (Windsor, Ont./FJ Brennan) also had a strong game for St. Clair with 17 points to go with six rebounds. Kelly Rizea (Windsor, Ont./Vincent Massey) also reached double figures with 11 points for the Saints.

Lambton's Riley Williams had 20 points to lead her team in the loss.

The St. Clair women's basketball team will host Sault College (Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.) in their final regular season games Feb. 15 and 16 at the campus gym.
