ST. CLAIR 74, SAULT 43

WINDSOR, Ont. - The St. Clair women's basketball team was able to get all but one player on the score sheet in a lopsided 74-43 victory over Sault College at the campus gym Saturday night.

Leading 29-10 after the first quarter, St. Clair was outscored 13-12 in the second quarter before holding Sault to just six points in the third frame. The Saints coasted to the win from there holding Sault to just 26 per cent shooting for the contest while outrebounding them 52-32.

Shannon Kennedy (Windsor, Ont./St. Joseph's) led the Saints with 19 points and added 13 rebounds for the double-double. Forward Kendyl Rizea (Windsor, Ont./Vincent Massey) was the only other St. Clair player chipping in with 16 points and six rebounds. Sarah Bondy (Amherstburg, Ont./General Amherst) had a strong game off the bench with six assists to go with nine points.

Sault's Brooke Bellerose had a game-high 21 points to lead her team in the loss.

The St. Clair women's basketball team will again host Sault College (Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.) in their final regular season game Sunday, Feb. 16 at the campus gym with tip time at 1 p.m. which will be aired lived on TV Cogeco.
