MOHAWK 67, SAULT 36

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. - Mohawk capped a perfect basketball weekend at Sault College with two more wins over the Cougars on Saturday.

Matt Fennell scored 25 points and Andrew Cicuttini added 22 as Mohawk whipped their hosts 86-59. Cicuttini also had a great game on the boards. He had 28 of Mohawk's 49 rebounds, including 21 on the defensive side.

Jeff Hunt added 13 points and 15 rebounds for the Mountaineers, who saw their record go to 10-3. For Sault College, who slipped to 4-7, Jason Ledgister scored 14 points. Mark Lue-Hue and Aaron Brown added 12 apiece.

The Mohawk women upped their record to 9-4 with a 67-36 win over a much improved Sault College squad, even though the Cougars could not stop their record from falling to 1-10.

Ally DeLorenzi had nine points to lead the Mountaineers. Jakayla Douse scored eight points and added nine rebounds. Lacey Wolters scored eight and Rachelle Abella had seven points.

McKenzie Kearns scored 16 points for the Cougars. Renee Carriere added 10.
