ST. CLAIR 71, NIAGARA 49

WINDSOR, Ont. - The St. Clair Saints women's basketball team bounced back in Welland, Ont., on Sunday with a convincing 71-49 victory over Niagara College, moving themselves back into a second-place tie in the OCAA's West region.

Trailing 20-12 after the first quarter, the Saints responded moving to within 28-27 at half time but dominated the remainder of the contest and cruised to the win.

St. Clair rookie Shannon Kennedy (Windsor, Ont./St. Joseph's) recovered from a poor shooting night against Mohawk Saturday with a game-high 29 points that included six deep balls from beyond the three-point arc to go with seven rebounds.

Kendyl Rizea (Windsor, Ont./Vincent Massey) and Meighen Boyd (Tecumseh, Ont./St. Anne) each chipped in with 10 points apiece to also reach double figures for the Saints.

Niagara's Miranda Ross had 16 points to lead her team in the loss.

The St. Clair women's basketball team continues their OCAA West region schedule Saturday when they travel to Lambton College (Sarnia, Ont.).
