FANSHAWE 67, SAULT 41

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. - The Fanshawe women's basketball team continue to roll as they defeated the Sault Cougars (1-15) twice this past weekend. The wins now have Fanshawe tied for second place in the OCAA West Division.

On the road Saturday, the Falcons ran the ball early and often versus the Cougars and at the half led by 30 points, 45-15. Fanshawe went on to win the game 85-37. All nine Falcons scored at least four points in the game with Ali Vlasman and Victoria Racine leading the way offensively with 20 and 19 points respectively.

Sunday afternoon, the Falcons continued to dominate, winning every quarter of play versus the Sault Cougars enroute to a 67-41 victory. Vlasman again had her way on the offensive end with 21 points on 10-of-16 shooting.

On Thursday night, Fanshawe hosts a crucial game versus the Sheridan Bruins (11-5). The game takes place at 6 p.m. at the Glenn Johnston Athletic Centre. With a win versus the Bruins, Fanshawe can lock up a home playoff crossover game.
