MOHAWK IN OCAA WOMEN'S BASKETBALL FINAL

TORONTO - The Mohawk women's basketball team will face the Humber Hawks in the belairdirect OCAA championship game at Centennial College in Toronto.

The Mountaineers, who trailed St. Lawrence of Kingston, Ont., 32-25 at halftime, rallied following the break for a 71-58 semifinal victory over the Vikings.

Jakayla Douse scored 15 points and added 13 rebounds to lead Mohawk. JenJen Abella, named her team's player of the game, had 13 points and four assists and Stef Hrymak added 12 points.

For the first time in five years Algonquin of Ottawa will not be the champion. The Thunder bowed 58-55 to Humber in their semifinal and will now have to try to get the bronze.

The Mohawk-Humber final is set for 7 p.m. Saturday.
