ST. CLAIR 81, REDEEMER 55

ANCASTER, Ont. - The St. Clair College women's basketball team (7-1) have now won six in a row after an 81-55 victory over Redeemer University College in Ancaster, Ont., on Saturday afternoon.

The Saints played see-saw with Redeemer in the opening quarter but were ahead 26-20 entering the second quarter and eased into the halftime locker room up 44-30. St. Clair forced 20 Redeemer turnovers with full-court pressure and didn't need a single three-point make in the win.

St. Clair fifth-year guard Jaide Lyons (Windsor, Ont./FJ Brennan) led all scorers with 25 points adding three rebounds, two assists and one steal. Saints second-year forward Nicole Tamm (Windsor, Ont./Holy Names) scored 11 points to go with 10 rebounds for the double-double.  Meighen Boyd (Tecumseh, Ont./St. Anne) also reached double figures scoring 10 points and added six rebounds for St. Clair.

Redeemer's Jesseca Brown (Grand Manan, N.B.) scored 21 points in a losing cause.
