WINDSOR, Ont. - The St. Clair College women's basketball team moved their OCAA west region record to 4-1 with a lopsided 61-28 victory over Sault College (Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.) Saturday night at the SportsPlex.
The Saints were ahead 24-9 after the opening quarter and never looked back with a 36-12 lead at halftime and entered the fourth quarter up 48-22. St. Clair scored 23 points off 38 Sault turnovers which proved to the key statistic in the win.
Fifth-year guard Jaide Lyons (Windsor, Ont./FJ Brennan) scored a game-high 16 points adding five rebounds and four steals. Saints second-year post Nicole Tamm (Windsor, Ont./Holy Names) also reached double figures with 12 points to go with four rebounds.
Sault's Stacie Cain (Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.) had nine points and 11 rebounds in a losing cause.
