ST. CLAIR 85, CAMBRIAN 30

SUDBURY, Ont. - The St. Clair College women's basketball team finished the regular season in Sudbury, Ont., with a pair of lopsided wins over Cambrian College this past weekend.

Saturday night the Saints topped Cambrian 98-25 and held the home team to just six second-half points. Jaide Lyons (Windsor, Ont./FJ Brennan) led four St. Clair players in double figures scoring 17 points. Nicole Tamm (17 points), Sarah Bondy (10 points) and Torrie Handsor (10 points) were the other Saints reaching double figures.

The Lady Saints prevailed 85-30 over Cambrian Sunday afternoon to finish with a 13-5 record and alone in fourth place in the OCAA's west region. Second-year St. Clair forward Torrie Handsor (Wallaceburg, Ont.) scored 20 points adding 10 rebounds for the double-double. Fourth-year guard Tori Schutz (Lasalle, Ont./St. Thomas of Villanova) chipped in with 10 points for the Saints.

The St. Clair women advance to a crossover play-off game on the road this coming weekend against the fourth place team in the east region. The date and time will be confirmed Wednesday once the regular season comes to a completion.
