ST. CLAIR 81, LAMBTON 38

WINDSOR, Ont. - The St. Clair College women's basketball defeated Lambton College (Sarnia) by a score of 81-38 in their OCAA West Division regular season home opener Friday night at the SportsPlex.

The Saints quickly mounted a double-digit lead in the first quarter and never looked back. After opening with a 19-5 advantage entering the second quarter, St. Clair increased its lead to 40-14 by halftime. The Lady Saints scored 20 second chance points in the contest after clearing 25 offensive rebounds.

Saints fourth-year player Shannon Kennedy (Windsor, Ont./St. Joseph's) led all scorers with 22 points adding nine rebounds and three steals. Torrie Handsor (Wallaceburg, Ont.) had a double-double with 12 points and an impressive 16 rebounds for St. Clair with Shianne Riggan (Kitchener, Ont.) and Aleah Marton (Amherstburg, Ont./General Amherst) each chipping in with 10 points.

Lambton's Madisyn Campbell (Sarnia, Ont.) scored 12 points in the loss.
