REDEEMER 72, MOHAWK 68

HAMILTON, Ont. - The Redeemer Royals love nothing better than to beat their Hamilton Mountain rivals and they did it not once, but twice on Mohawk's home basketball court at the David Braley Athletic and Recreation Centre on Tuesday.

The dynamic duo of Lindsay Moffat and Jessica Brown had 26 points apiece as the Redeemer women topped the Mountaineers 72-68. Nobody else in the Royals' line-up made it to double figures in the contest, but Redeemer improved to 4-3 on the season, while the Mountaineers fell to 6-2.

Stef Hrymak led Mohawk with 20 points. Sam Pocrnic had 14 points and Shanien O'Neill added 13.

Then, Rayvon Higdon tossed in 30 points and added 11 rebounds, to pace the Redeemer men to a 96-86 win over Mohawk. Spencer Kerssies had 18 points, while Foster Brown recorded 15.

For the Mountaineers, Lamar Barr scored 19 points, Kareem Collins got 12 points and Ty Unrig contributed 10.

Mohawk saw it's record level off at 4-4. Redeemer improved to 2-3.
