HUMBER 89, MOHAWK 64

TORONTO - The Mohawk women's basketball team finished first semester OCAA play on a losing note Dec. 7, as they bowed 89-64 at Humber.

Sam Pocrnic scored 20 points, while Hunter Johns and Stef Hrymak had 10 each for the Mountaineers, who wound up 6-3 for the first half of the season, while Humber was a perfect 9-0.

"I think the break is coming just in time for us," said Mohawk head coach Kevin Duffy. "We looked tired, both mentally and physically and need to regroup. It's a long season and it seems like we have hit a wall."

Duffy hopes the rest will give the team a chance to recharge and refocus, as they ready themselves for the stretch run.
