The Ontario Colleges Athletic Association is proud to announce this years 2006 OCAA Major Award Recipients in Women's Soccer. The athletes were named today at the 2006 Championship Awards Banquet taking place in Mississuaga as Sheridan College is hosting the Championship at Mississauga Icelands.

Lords standout midfielder Amanda Durno was named the 2006 OCAA Women’s Soccer Player of the Year and was also announced as a 2006 CCAA All-Canadian. After capturing many provincial awards in the OCAA last year as a freshman,

Durno went on to be named Durham College Freshmen Female Athlete of the Year. She carried over this first year with amazing success by leading the Lords soccer team to another undefeated conference season, 1st place, qualifying for the OCAA Championships again this year, and helped two DC freshmen finished number one and two overall in OCAA scoring for 2006. Durno was also named an OCAA League All-Star
