ST. CLAIR INTRODUCES NEW WOMEN'S SOCCER COACH

WINDSOR, Ont. - The St. Clair College Athletic Department is pleased to announce Steve Vagnini as the new varsity women's soccer head coach. Steve will be heading up both the fall outdoor and the winter indoor teams.

Steve was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., and graduated from St. Mary's High School.

Steve has a vast amount of coaching experience that will be very beneficial for this position. One of his recent career highlights was being named the Canadian Soccer League coach of the year in 2012.

St. Clair College athletic coordinator Jay Shewfelt commented, "Steve is a very passionate coach who will push our athletes to achieve at the highest level. Based on his proven track record of success at many levels I expect nothing less for our program with one of the area's finest coaches at the helm."

Steve is extremely excited about this opportunity. "I can't wait to get started working at St. Clair College with the women's soccer teams. There are so many amazing things going on at St. Clair College and with the athletic department and I am fortunate to be a part of it all. My goal is to make this a championship program as soon as possible."

Vagnini also named Gadeer Sobh as one of his assistant coaches.
